Teenagers in the McFaddin-Ward House Junior Interpreter Program guide visitors through three floors of the house.

Start at the visitor center, 1906 Calder Avenue at Third Street, Beaumont. The carriage house is open on weekends. 409-832-2134. Free.

 

Training begins June 15 and goes through June 24

The museum’s education department will teach specially-selected teens to be in a junior interpreters’ program where the students will learn about the McFaddin and Ward families, Beaumont History, and gain touring skills and customer service experience.

Space is limited to 12 participants. No charge for the course or the materials.

Minimum age: 13 years/interest in history/pledge to volunteer at the museum for at least one year/Give respect for others and for property.
